The screen below then appears. It picks up the installed modem. Click OK to continue.

After clicking OK, RAS begins installation. When completed Remote Access Service appears on the list of Services. Click Close at bottom of window.

Or

Double-click on My Computer and then Dial-Up Networking. The following screen appears. Press Install to install the Dial-Up Networking component.

Click OK in the Add RAS Device dialog box.

Click Continue on the Remote Access Setup box.

After installation of RAS click Restart to make changes effective. This will restart the computer.

Configuration of Dial-Up Networking in Windows NT 4

Step One: Setup the Sunbeach Connection for the 1st time

1. Double click on My Computer then Dial-Up Networking

2. The phonebook is empty message appears. Click OK to add an entry

3. Replace "MyDialUpServer" with "Sunbeach" and click "Next"
4. Click in the box labeled "I am calling the Internet"" then click "Next"
5. Insert telephone number 228-6300 in the Phone number section and click "Next"
6. Click "Finish" to complete.

Step Two: Setting up the Correct Properties

1. Double-click on My Computer then Dial-Up Networking. Click the "More" button then select Edit entry and modem properties to continue configuration.

2. On the Basic tab, make sure the telephone number is 228-6300. Click on the Server tab at the top.

3. On the network protocols section, make sure TCP/IP is ticked.
Enable software compression and Enable PPP LCP extensions should both be ticked. Click on TCP/IP Settings.

4. Make sure there is a dot next to Server Assigned IP address and Specify Name Server Addresses. Fill out the following info:

Primary DNS:	205.214.199.130
Secondary DNS:	205.214.199.131

Make sure a tick is in Use IP header compression and Use default gateway on remote network
Press OK when completed

Removal of Dialup Networking (RAS) for Windows NT 4

A Warning message appears, click Yes to Continue.

The Remote Access service is now removed.
