Installation of Dial-Up Networking for Windows Me

To start a new connection to Sunbeach, open these icons one after the other by double-clicking on them.

This is the welcome screen for the Dial-Up Networking Wizard. Click [Next] to continue.

Type in the name of the connection that you are dialing.
Usually it is the name of your Internet Service Provider. In this case, type in 'Sunbeach' as the example shows.
Select the connection device that you wish to use. The default is usually your modem.

Type in the Area Code which is 246.
Type in the Telephone number which is 228-6300.
Select the Country or region code as Barbados.
Click on [Next] to continue.

Now that you have created the Sunbeach connection, click on [Finish].
Click to Enlarge Now we want to change some settings on the Sunbeach connection.
Right-click (using the right button on your mouse) and select Properties.
You can also create an icon on your desktop by selecting Create Shortcut for easier access without going through the steps at the top.

in the General tab, untick Use area code and Dialing Properties.

Click on the tab Networking. Make sure that NetBEUI and IPX/SPX Compatible are both unticked as in the example. Click on TCP/IP Settings.

Make sure that Server assigned IP address is selected.
Make sure that Server assigned name server addresses is selected.
Make sure that both Use IP header compression and Use default gateway on remote network are ticked.
Click [OK] to continue.

Click on the Security tab.
Enter your User name and password in the boxes provide as in the example provided.
Make sure that the Domain box and the Advanced security options boxes are empty

Click on the Scripting tab and make sure that everything is as the example provided.

Click on the Multilink tab and make sure that everything is as the example provided.

Click on the Dialing tab and make sure that everything is as the example provided.
Click [OK] to continue.

Now double-click on your Sunbeach icon, whether it is on the Desktop or in Dial-Up Networking.
The example screen should come up with you user name and password already in.
You can tick Save Password if you do not wish to type in your password every time to connect.
If you wish to dial automatically without having to click on [Connect], you can put a tick in Connect automatically. Save password must be ticked for this feature to work.

click on [Connect] and the next window will appear. This shows the status of your modem dialing.
Once you are connected, you will see the icon on the task bar as shown on the example on the left. You are now connected to Sunbeach and to the Internet.
